St. Ethelburga's Bishopsgate
St. Ethelburga's Bishopsgate is a
Church of England church on
Bishopsgate in the
City of London. It was practically destroyed by a
Provisional IRA bomb in
1993. It had been built in the first half of the
15th century, and was one of the few buildings to survive both the
Great Fire of London and the
Second World War.
Since the bombing the church has been rebuilt, and is now the site of a 'Study Centre for Reconcilation and Peace'.
