St.Peter and St.Paul Fortress
The
St.Peter and St.Paul Fortress (named after St.Peter and St.Paul cathedral) was founded on Zajachy Ostrov (Hare Island) in
St._Petersburg, along with the city itself in
1703.
The fortress was never used for defence in a war but it is known for being a prison for political prisoners.
