Tasha Yar

Natasha Yar is a fictional character on Star Trek: The Next Generation. She was the original security officer of the Enterprise D. Born on Turkana IV, a colony world gone wrong, she learned to defend herself on the streets and avoid the gangs. Among some of the interesting facts about her, she and Data were once intimate. She was killed by an evil force known as Armus on Vagra II less than a year after the Enterprise D began its mission.

She showed up again in an alternate future involving the Enterprise C. That Tasha Yar returned to the normal time stream on the Enterprise C and had a half-Romulan daughter named Sela.

Tasha Yar was played by Denise Crosby.
