Technical diving is
SCUBA diving that exceeds the scope of recreational or
open-water diving. This includes:
- Wreck diving - diving inside a shipwreck.
- Cave diving - diving into a cave system.
- Deep diving - typically diving below 100 feet / 30 meters.
- Decompression diving - diving requiring staged stops at the end of a dive to off gas nitrogen.
- Ice diving - diving under ice.
