Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition (1897)

This Exposition resulted in the building of the Nashville Parthenon, later reconstructed in more permanent materials. Other attractions were the Negro Pavilion, the gondolas on Lake Watauga and the Egyptian Pavilion with its belly-dancers.
