The Diggers

• The diggers were group begun by Gerrard Winstanley in 1649 during Oliver Cromwell's England;
• The diggers were a radical left-wing guerilla theater group from 1966-68, based in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco;
• The diggers was a popular term used to describe servicemen in the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) during the First World War.
