The Four Spiritual Laws
The Four Spiritual Laws is a
Christian tract created by
Bill Bright in
1956. The tract contains the 4 laws and a suggested
prayer. It has been and continues to be very widely used, both verbatim and paraphrased, in various forms by Christians in their efforts to evangelize non-Christians.
- God loves each person and offers a plan for each person's life.
- Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.
- Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Christ people can know and experience God's love and plan for each man's life.
- People must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then each person can know and experience God's love and plan for his or her lives.
The following is a suggested prayer included with the tracts:
- Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.
