Troy is a borough located in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 1,508.

census of 2000, there are 1,508 people, 581 households, and 327 families residing in the borough. The population density is 746.5/km² (1,923.2/mi²). There are 617 housing units at an average density of 305.4/km² (786.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 98.34% White, 0.27% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.73% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.27% from other races, and 0.27% from two or more races. 0.66% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 581 households out of which 26.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.0% are married couples living together, 10.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 43.7% are non-families. 37.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 22.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.30 and the average family size is 3.00. In the borough the population is spread out with 20.1% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 28.6% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 19.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 70.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 63.3 males. The median income for a household in the borough is $27,426, and the median income for a family is $41,667. Males have a median income of $30,625 versus $20,972 for females. The per capita income for the borough is $16,963. 21.1% of the population and 8.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 13.0% are under the age of 18 and 18.6% are 65 or older.
