Tuxedo Park is a village located in Orange County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 731. It is the site of Alfred Lee Loomis's "Loomis Laboratory". The tuxedo is named for Tuxedo Park.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 8.4 km² (3.2 mi²). 6.9 km² (2.7 mi²) of it is land and 1.4 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 17.03% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 731 people, 291 households, and 215 families residing in the village. The population density is 105.3/km² (272.9/mi²). There are 363 housing units at an average density of 52.3/km² (135.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 94.39% White, 0.68% African American, 0.14% Native American, 2.19% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.27% from other races, and 2.33% from two or more races. 5.06% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 291 households out of which 29.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.9% are married couples living together, 8.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.1% are non-families. 21.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.51 and the average family size is 2.88.

In the village the population is spread out with 22.2% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 37.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 45 years. For every 100 females there are 98.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 94.9 males.
