Ueno (上野市; -shi) is a city located in Mie, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 61,753 and the density of 316.26 persons per km². The total area is 195.26 km².
The city was founded on September 10, 1941.
Ueno (上野) is also a district in Tokyo's Taitō Ward, best known as the home of Ueno Station and Ueno Park.
