Two commissioned ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Chattanooga, after the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and two under construction carried the name briefly.
The first Chattanooga was a steam sloop in use from 1866 to 1871.
The second Chattanooga (C-16) was a cruiser in service from 1904 to 1921.
Chattanooga (PF-65) was renamed to Uniontown on 18 August1944, before commissioning.
