USS Maddox

There were three American destroyers named the U.S.S. Maddox.

The first, DD-168, was christened in 1918, transferred to the Royal Navy, transferred to the Russian Navy, then given back to the RN. See U.S.S. Maddox

The second, DD-622, was christened in 1942. She was sunk the next year by a German dive bomber. See U.S.S. Maddox

The third, DD-731, was christened in 1944. She had a short career in World War II, and particpated in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. See U.S.S. Maddox
