West Crow Wing is an unorganized territory located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the unorganized territory had a total population of 5,144.

Geography

\nAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the unorganized territory has a total area of 126.4 km² (48.8 mi²). 91.0 km² (35.1 mi²) of it is land and 35.4 km² (13.7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 27.99% water.

\nAs of the census of 2000, there are 5,144 people, 1,870 households, and 1,477 families residing in the unorganized territory. The population density is 56.5/km² (146.4/mi²). There are 2,387 housing units at an average density of 26.2/km² (67.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the unorganized territory is 98.60% White, 0.08% African American, 0.35% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.29% from other races, and 0.47% from two or more races. 0.87% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
