Willard is a village located in Torrance County, New Mexico. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 240.

Demographics

census of 2000, there are 240 people, 96 households, and 60 families residing in the village. The population density is 120.3/km² (310.5/mi²). There are 115 housing units at an average density of 57.7/km² (148.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 50.42% White, 0.83% African American, 1.25% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 45.83% from other races, and 1.67% from two or more races. 83.33% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 96 households out of which 33.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.9% are married couples living together, 8.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.5% are non-families. 35.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.50 and the average family size is 3.28. In the village the population is spread out with 28.8% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 16.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 110.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 106.0 males. The median income for a household in the village is $20,833, and the median income for a family is $28,333. Males have a median income of $30,313 versus $21,000 for females.
