Willen
Willen is an area of
Milton Keynes in the
County of Milton Keynes,
England. It is located to the north of the main
town, and is one of the ancient
villages of
Buckinghamshire to have been included in the modern development of Milton Keynes in the
1960s.
The village name is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'willow tree'. The village was recorded in manorial records of 1189 as Wily.
The parish church is dedicated to St Mary Magdalen. It is reputed to be the point where several major ley lines converge.
