Wrightsville is a city located in Johnson County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,223. The city is the county seat of Johnson County6.

census of 2000, there are 2,223 people, 867 households, and 564 families residing in the city. The population density is 250.2/km² (648.1/mi²). There are 978 housing units at an average density of 110.1/km² (285.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 45.88% White, 53.49% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.04% from other races, and 0.36% from two or more races. 0.67% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 867 households out of which 30.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 35.4% are married couples living together, 26.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.9% are non-families. 33.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.44 and the average family size is 3.10. In the city the population is spread out with 27.2% under the age of 18, 9.9% from 18 to 24, 23.7% from 25 to 44, 20.5% from 45 to 64, and 18.8% who are 65 years of age or older.
