Yabloko

Russia's Yabloko - sometimes called the Yabloko Russian Democratic Party (Российская Демократическая Партия Яблоко) - is a Social-Democrat political party, led by Grigorii Yavlinskii, which aims for, among other goals, the maintenance of Russia's territorial integrity, creation of high-quality public health and education system, and Russia's appliance to the European Union.

The party's name can be either interpreted as Ya Bloko (Я Блоко), meaning Your Bloc, or as Yabloko (Яблоко), meaning apple. Yabloko's logo is made of a red circle and a thin green arrow, suggesting an apple.
