Delerium is a band from Vancouver, B.C., Canada formed in 1984 by Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber. Although both musicians have played together in other bands since, Delerium is still their most successful ongoing project.
Female vocalists appear on many Leeb-Fulber songs, including Sarah McLachlan in "Silence", on the Karma album (1997), which sold more than 400,000 singles world-wide. Leigh Nash, Kristy Thirsk, and Lisa Gerrard also sing lead vocals on several albums.
Since Faces, Forms and Illusions (1988) up to and including Chimera (2003), Delerium has released over 20 albums. The genre that describes or categorizes the group's musical style includes terms such as trip pop, electronic, Gothic rock, industrial, and New Age.
