Jing-Run Chen

Jing-Run Chen (ch:陈景润, py: Chén Jǐngrùn, May 22, 1933-March, 1996) was a mathematician from Fuzhou, Fujian, PRC. He was considered to be an important figure in China's mathematic history.

His study in Goldbach's conjecture led to a progress in analytic theory. In May, 1966, his paper of proving "1+2" was later called "Chen's Theorem".
