Manaslu

Manaslu (also known as Kutang) at 8,156 metres (26,758 feet) is the eighth highest mountain in the world. Manaslu is located at 28°33'N 84°34'E in the Himalaya of Nepal. Manaslu is derived from the Sanskrit word Manasa and is translated as "Mountain of the Spirit".

Manaslu was first climbed on May 9, 1956 by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu of a Japanese expedition.
