Social Democratic Party of Romania

The Social Democratic Party of Romania is the governing party of Romania. It governs in a coalition with two smaller parties called the Social Democratic Pole of Romania, which shares the same initials in Romanian as well as English.

The President of Romania, Ion Iliescu is leader of the party, and the Prime Minister, Adrian Nastase, is a member.
